   1 I'd like to attend RC for 3 main reasons:

   3 1) To surround myself with more like-minded people, who have a passion
   4    for programming, and are naturally inquisitive. I love these kind of
   5    relationships, but the last time I was able to be surrounded by those
   6    kind of people was in undergrad. I still love my friends from then
   7    though!

   9 2) To rediscover my passion for programming. Working on software all day
  10    every day has drained my love of programming. This burnout seems like
  11    it could be treated by removing myself from the daily work structure.
  12    I don't even have the energy to hack on any projects on my own after
  13    work, since I've spent all my energy fighting microservices and
  14    workplace politics.

  16 3) To increase my abilities. I feel like I know what I //don't know// at
  17    this point. It makes me intimidated to even attempt things, like
  18    writing graphical games! Being pushed and working in concert with
  19    others who have abilities I don't would be a boon for that mental
  20    block.
